For the themes, we can work using, adapting or constructing themes, using the simple technique (working directly on the theme) or we can work with advanced possibilities using a framework theme like Thematic or Hybrid and constucting a child theme.

It also establishes a set of best practices that allows to develop maintainable and secure websites with these features: Object-Relational Mapping (ORM), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Rapid Application Development (RAD).
